Introduction to Keep Sailing Terms and Conditions

By booking a course with Keep Sailing, you agree to the following terms and conditions.

These cover everything from course fees and cancellations to our policies on bad weather and personal insurance. We strive to be flexible and accommodating, but please be aware of our refund and cancellation procedures, as well as your responsibility for personal insurance.

We aim to provide the best experience, but Keep Sailing reserves the right to modify course details, dates, or prices as needed. Please read these terms carefully to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience.

Terms and Conditions of Booking with Keep Sailing

Course Fees

All course fees must be paid at the time of booking.

Cancellation policy

Keep Sailing or organisations we are booking agents for reserve the right to cancel the course if the minimum number of students has not been reached. If this is the case we will endeavor to reach a compromise by either offering a shorter 1:1 course or you will receive a full refund.

Refund Policy for Customer-Cancelled Courses/Events

We understand that plans can change, and we strive to accommodate your needs. Please review our refund policy below for courses/events cancelled by customers:

  1. Cancellation 7 Days or More Before Course Start:
    • Refund: Full refund for cancellations made anytime from the booking date until 7 days before the course/event commencement.
  2. Cancellation Between 7 Days and Course Start:
    • Refund: No refund will be provided.
    • Exception: In case the course/event is fully booked, and there is a waiting list:
      • If we successfully fill your reserved space, you will receive a refund, deducting a £25 administration fee.

Terms and Conditions
  1. All cancellations and transfers are subject to a £25 admin fee.
  2. Bad Weather
  3. We will always do our best to run the course so if it’s raining or just general bad weather the course will go-ahead. However we do reserve the right to cancel or reschedule the course. Sometimes it’s just too windy to teach sailing (or not windy enough!) or the river conditions make it unsafe. In this event there will be a full refund of the course cost, we will do a pro rata refund if the course is part way through. i.e if we have managed to run 1 day of a 2 day course a 50% refund.
  4. In the event that a course participant, through illness or otherwise, misses the start of (or any other part of) the course, Keep Sailing or organisations we are booking agents for are under no obligation to offer completion of the course or any refund or to transfer the booking.
  5. Personal insurance is the responsibility of the course participant. Course participants are advised to take out personal insurance for any courses to cover the event of missing the course, cancellation, curtailment, personal injury, accident, damage to (or loss of) personal equipment or any other reason either caused by the course participant or beyond their control.
  6. Course participants using their own equipment do so at their own risk and Keep Sailing or organisations we are booking agents for will accept no liability for damage or loss howsoever caused and must have suitable insurance cover and minimum buoyancy.
  7. Keep Sailing or organisations we are booking agents for reserves the right to vary course details, dates and prices without prior notice.
  8. A course booking form with up-to-date medical and contact information must be completed prior to the start of the course.
  9. All course participants and visitors with the course participant will adhere to the Bye-laws and /or Code of Conduct
